Notebook Very Happy

Kuch Mithe Pal bahut yaad aate hain,
Palkoan par aansu chod jaate hain.
Kall koi aur mile to hame mat bhul jana,
Kuch anjane rishte zindagi bhar yaad aate hain

If you want the bookclub to have some active participants, you might as well be ready to accommodate books of different genre! Wink

My vote goes to The Appeal! I would go with any other picks listed apart from the Notebook & the fairytales!I am sure more than a few members if not all have watched the movie and read the book as well! Razz

Dare to explore girls!Wink I assure you there's a treasure of books out there beyond chicklits that deserve exploration!Razz

why making a deal Mister? it was a fair poll kinda thing where everyone voted and the winning book gets read! period.

We ain't saying the so called chicklited books are the only kind to be read, we will DEF. have different genres read every each time Very Happy. Cmonnnn now, don't be a ziddi baccha Razz or a brat Razz...

Anyways, people have a choice to stay or leave and re-join when thier choices comes up Very Happy

And from talking to a few members, they say we should get started after next week and the time seems apt from my side too. So we will be starting to read the winning book after next week Very Happy

You don't need to agree but try & learn to regard a member's opinion and one more time-if you can, cut that condescending tone!

Everyone who logs in here at MT is allowed to express his or her opinion without having to worry about some members getting on the high horse!

like what? Bored ..seriously where are you coming from with all this?

Listen man, I really don't wanna bother myself with crap. It was simple. The poll idea was suggested to which we all agreed hence the poll was created so that a book could be decided and the one with the most votes could be read!
Then why all that issue?

For chrissake, try and understand rather then create a mess or anything Bored seriously, my tone was nither demanding nor anything else towards you nor were the intentions to do so! as your trying to point out there. But I don't care anymore.

Anyways, I have decided not to be part of this drama anymore.

Enjoy!

Khwaish u aint going anywhere, take it as an order or as a request, but ur staying!! No arguments. Period Very Happy

Anchal and Shehzada, even i didn't want to read The Notebook, but Khwaish explained the reasons why we might go with it pretty nicely. The poll was a democratic way of picking a novel, and simply the choice of the majority won. Neither me or any of you can change what other people want to read, but you can vote for the book of your own choice and maybe next time it will be the one picked. If we are going to be working as a group, what matters is what the group wants, not what one individual wants. Obviously we are going to be exploring different genres, but WE HAVE TO START OUT SOMEWHERE!! Hope that was loud and clear. Smile

And a general comment for everyone before we start this, not directed towards anybody in particular : Stop taking everything in a negative way, for once stop being egoistic fools, and accept things reasonably. Why is it that we always have to go through some sort of controversy before starting something. Especially a club like this where we will be having so many different opinions, if we can respect each others opinion only then can we finally achieve something.

Hopefully most of you will stick around till the actual club starts!

And if it all falls apart, I will know deep in my heart, the only dream that mattered had come true. In this life, I was loved by you.

I think pot should think twice before calling the kettle black!

Patronizing tone is not going to get anyone anywhere-however good the intention might be!

Salud!
